"Humble Beginnings"

My journey to setting up a feral cat colony began with the discovery of a litter of new kittens born on the roof of the garage at my sisters rental property. It was then that I first encountered the problem of the many feral cats in Spain, and I knew that I should do something about it, but I waited 3 more year and sever new generations of kittens later to actual decide to do so.

I started by doing my research, learning more about feral cats and their plight. Finding help for a stray animal can be an incredibly difficult task, and unfortunately many local shelters are not able to provide the assistance needed. After initially trying to get help from local animal shelters, I soon realized that this was a dead end. Many of these organizations are overwhelmed with the number of animals in their care and lack the resources necessary to provide additional support. It can be disheartening and frustrating to try to get help from local animal shelters when you need it most. Unfortunately, many people have experienced this firsthand and have realized that they are not always the best source of assistance. This made me realize that relying on local shelters alone is not enough to ensure the health and safety of this feral cats. We must look beyond local shelters for more comprehensive solutions to help our furry friends. Therefore I decided to take action by starting my own colony.

My mission was simple - provide food, shelter and medical care for these cats so they could live in safety and comfort.

It took time and dedication but eventually, my efforts paid off as the colony grew larger with each passing day. Now, we are proud to say that we have made a difference in the lives of many cats who have found safe haven in our sanctuary.
