The Three Musketeers !

Three of the most faithful cats in this colony are Ginger, Sami, and Alex.

Alex was the first kitten I fed, she was skinny and hungry and always came with her daddy to eat. I lost her for a while due to construction and new renters, but I found her again further up the beach, where she still is. It was she who was the first cat who was not afraid to get close to me, but now she's the only one I can't touch.

Sami has stunning blue eyes and a beautiful white coat. Once I discovered that he does not eat anything but tuna and dry food, he was so much easier to sterilize. I thought I wouldn't meet him again after he was sterilized since he stayed away for three days, but then he was the first to arrive and the last one to leave. He was also signaling to me that he would love to be touched, but every time I reached out, he ran away. Suddenly, after a year, he came to my legs and I could touch him and cuddle him, and yesterday I heard him purr for the first time.

Ginger was more scared than any of the other cats, he would hide when he saw me coming and only come to eat when I left. Since he is very cautious and suspicious, I was surprised he even got into the trap. It made me so happy when he was able to get seen by a vet once I got him. He evolved into a very bold, bully who has no problem hitting me on my hand when I am not putting out the food fast enough, and those claws really hurt. The little holes in my hand are the result of his impatience to get his food. Additionally, he is a little bully with the other cats and if I have his favorite food, white fish fillet with salmon oil, or chicken baked in the oven, he will eat so fast that once he is finished he can push away the other cats to have theirs as well. Due to his tendency to get into fights with others, I keep an eye on him like a hawk.

Garfield, the adorable long-haired ginger cat, was found in my trap one night and faithfully came to eat in their cozy condo. It was only he who knew how to use a cat door, and he always came late at night when no one was around. After Sami discovered the cat door and started going inside and napping there at times, Garfield stopped coming! In the past four weeks, I haven't seen him, and I can only hope that someone will give him some food.
